Custom Theme

How an interface looks partly decides how gladly and how well you work with it. One person likes it bold and high-contrast, another calm and understated, some need large text, others the dark mode for their eyes. Custom Theme puts the dials in your hands to set the desktop to your taste and needs.

The accent colour is the colour that runs through the whole interface - on buttons, links, highlights and active elements. Eight ready-made colours from teal through blue, purple, pink, red, orange and amber to green are on offer, and via the colour picker you can set any value at all if none of the presets hits exactly right.

You switch between light and dark mode with one click. Light mode is clear and tidy for daylight, dark mode is easier on the eyes in the evening and in low ambient light. Your choice applies to the whole interface immediately.

The font size can be scaled steplessly between 90 and 130 percent. If you prefer it more compact and want more on screen, go down; if you want to ease the strain on your eyes or simply read better, go up. That is a real gain for accessibility, all without touching your operating system settings.

For everyone who likes it clearer and calmer there is the "reduce transparency" switch. The interface normally uses translucent surfaces with a blur through which the wallpaper shimmers. With the switch these become opaque surfaces - more legible, less distracting and gentler on older or weaker devices.

You see every change immediately in the live preview, and your settings are stored locally in your browser so your look is back the next time you open it. If a change does not sit right after all, one click resets everything to the starting state. Together with a custom wallpaper you make the desktop completely your own.
