Clipboard Notepad

Copied, copied again, gone - and the text from before is already overwritten. Clipboard Notepad remembers your clipboard: with history, search, pinning and a quick note field. Plus text tools like upper and lower case, sorting and removing duplicates. All local in your browser.

What Clipboard Notepad does

The clipboard has a fundamental problem: it knows only one slot. Copy something new and the old is gone. Anyone who copies text blocks, links, numbers or addresses back and forth all day knows the moment when exactly the snippet you still needed has been overwritten. Clipboard Notepad solves that by keeping a history of your copied texts that you can pull from any time.

Every entry in the history can be copied back to the clipboard with one click. Important blocks you need again and again - your bank details, a signature, a standard sentence - can be pinned so they stay on top and do not sink into the history. And when the history grows long, the search finds the right entry in seconds.

Alongside the history there is a quick notepad for anything you want to jot down without creating a whole file: a phone number from a call, an idea, a work-in-progress note. The notepad is there when you need it, and your text is back the next time you open it.

On top of that come handy text tools that take over the tedious small stuff. Convert text to upper or lower case, sort lines alphabetically, remove duplicate lines, tidy up superfluous spaces - exactly the moves you would otherwise open a spreadsheet or editor for. Here they happen with one click on the text you already have in hand.

You can export your entries and notes to back them up or take them along. And because everything runs locally in your browser, your copied texts stay on your device. No cloud upload, no sharing - a reassuring difference especially with sensitive content like passwords, account data or internal notes.

Clipboard Notepad is deliberately lightweight. It does not want to be a second notes app you have to maintain, but the tool that runs quietly in the background and takes the copy-paste grind off your hands - quick open, quick close, always at hand.

Frequently asked questions

Does it automatically remember everything I copy?

Clipboard Notepad keeps a history of the texts you copy and paste, which you can copy back from any time. For browser security reasons you add content through the tool rather than every copy being recorded system-wide - control stays with you.

What is pinning entries for?

For keeping blocks you need again and again, such as your bank details, a signature or a standard sentence. Pinned entries stay on top and do not sink into a growing history.

Which text transformations are there?

Upper and lower case, alphabetical sorting of lines, removing duplicate lines and tidying superfluous spaces. Exactly the moves you would otherwise open an editor or spreadsheet for.

Do my notes survive closing?

Yes. The history and the notepad are stored locally in your browser, so your texts are back the next time you open it.

Are my copied texts safe?

Everything runs locally in your browser, your texts stay on your device and are not uploaded to a cloud. Especially with sensitive content like passwords or account data that is an important difference.
