Document layer / two explicit storage modes
The Aktenschrank connects the work. The encrypted folder draws a private boundary.
Ordinary Aktenschrank files connect workflows. A separate personal, flat browser-encrypted vault protects selected files without pretending the two storage modes are the same.
The shared document layer
The Aktenschrank's ordinary folders and files form the shared document layer for connected workflows. These normal files are distinct from the encrypted-folder vault and are not presented as end-to-end encrypted.
A separate personal, flat encrypted folder
Inside the encrypted folder, file contents, file names, and metadata are encrypted in the browser before storage. The server receives opaque ciphertext. The vault is personal and intentionally flat.
Tradeoffs: encrypted contents cannot be server-searched, previewed, antivirus-scanned, shared, or opened in CryonOffice.

E-invoicing opens the door. The workflow keeps it open.
The mandate creates the acquisition event. Werkzeu.ge extends the job from compliant invoice creation through the handover to the German tax advisor, then into the surrounding work.

The product is usable now. The remaining work is focused on product polish and distribution, not proving that the system can exist.
Free utility access leads into Plus and Pro subscriptions. Payments are live with a 14-day trial.
Built by one technical founder in Leipzig with zero outside funding.
A beta tester exposed a software-rendering bottleneck. The production fix shipped within 24 hours, improving measured performance from 21 to 60 fps.
