Custom Wallpaper

A workspace you feel at home in starts with the background. Instead of a preset default image, Custom Wallpaper lets you turn your own photo into the desktop wallpaper - the favourite shot from your last holiday, a calm gradient, a company motif, or simply something that smiles at you while you work.

Uploading is deliberately uncomplicated. Just drag the image into the window or pick it via the file dialog. The common formats JPEG and PNG are supported, as well as the modern, economical formats WebP and AVIF, which look great at small file sizes. As soon as the image is loaded, you see it immediately as the background.

How the image sits is up to you, via three fit modes. Cover fills the entire background and crops the image if needed so no borders remain - the best mode for photos. Contain shows the whole image but can leave borders left and right or top and bottom when the aspect ratio does not match. Centred places the image at its original size in the middle, ideal for logos or patterns.

Setting and resetting are possible any time. If you want the default wallpaper back, remove your image with one click and the desktop is as before. Nothing is lost and nothing is overwritten that you do not overwrite yourself.

Privacy is built in. Your image is not uploaded to a server but stored locally in your browser. That means: your private photo stays private, it does not leave your device, and nobody but you gets to see it. For the same reason there is a sensible size cap so your browser is not slowed down by a huge image.

Together with a custom theme, the desktop truly becomes yours. The wallpaper is the most striking part of it - the first impression every time you get started.
