What Contract Templates does
If you freelance, run a business, or arrange something bigger privately, there is no getting around contracts. The obstacle is rarely willingness - it is the template. Either you pay a lawyer for every standard case, or you download some dodgy sample last updated in 2009. The contract template library closes exactly that gap with 15 cleanly structured templates built on the German Civil Code (BGB) and current German contract law.
Every template names the legal basis it rests on. A service contract cites Sections 611 ff. BGB, a work contract Sections 631 ff. BGB, a purchase contract Sections 433 ff. BGB. That is not legal showing-off but genuinely useful: if a dispute arises later, you know immediately which rules apply and where to read up. No other sample explains why a clause is there.
The range covers the typical personal and business situations. Service and work contracts for commissioned jobs, a freelancer contract for self-employment, purchase and loan contracts for private and commercial deals, a surety for collateral, a GbR partnership agreement for founding together, plus internship, cooperation, license, commercial lease, letter of intent, framework, consulting, and assignment agreements. Fifteen starting points you adapt to your case.
The workflow is deliberately unspectacular: pick a template, fill in the fields - parties, deliverable, payment, term, termination - and get a fully formatted document you download as a PDF and sign. No endless wizards, no forced signup to download. The clauses are written so a human understands them, not just a specialist lawyer.
An honest note: a template is not legal advice, and for six-figure sums, real estate, or complex shareholdings you belong at a notary or lawyer. But for everyday life - the freelance gig, the private loan between friends, the small cooperation deal - a clean template is exactly what is missing. It hands you the structure, the right tone, and the statutes.
Because the PDF is rendered on the server, you get a properly typeset document with correct numbering and paragraphs, instead of a crooked Word file that looks different on every machine. Your inputs serve only to build the document and are not reused for advertising.

Who needs this
Frequently asked questions
Are the templates legally binding?
A contract signed by both parties is binding regardless of whether it started from a template. The samples give you a solid BGB-based foundation but do not replace individual legal advice in complex cases.
Which contracts are included?
Service, work, purchase, loan, surety, GbR partnership, internship, freelancer, cooperation, license, commercial lease, letter of intent, framework, consulting, and assignment agreements - 15 templates in total.
Do I need a notary for a contract?
For most contracts, no. Notarization is only mandatory in certain cases, such as real estate purchases or particular company forms. For service, work, or freelance contracts, both parties signing is enough.
Can I change the clauses?
Yes, that is what they are for. You fill in the fields and adapt the wording to your case. Just make sure changes do not undermine the legal position - if in doubt, have a professional check it.
What is the difference between a service and a work contract?
In a service contract (Sections 611 ff. BGB) you owe the activity itself; in a work contract (Sections 631 ff. BGB) a concrete result. A developer billing by the hour usually works on a service contract, while someone delivering a finished website for a fixed price works on a work contract.
Are my inputs stored?
