Team Workspace

Your single workspace becomes a team. The Team Workspace bundles managing your members: invite, assign roles, remove - all in one place, with clear rights for owner, admins and members. The foundation for working together in werkzeu.ge.

What Team Workspace does

As soon as more than one person works with the same tools, you need structure: who belongs, who may do what, and how does someone new get in or back out? The Team Workspace answers exactly these questions in one place, instead of letting them dissolve into scattered invitation emails and shout-outs.

You bring new people into the team by email invitation. You decide their starting role right away, so someone is not fully in and then awkwardly demoted. The invited person gets access to the shared workspace without you passing credentials back and forth.

The roles are deliberately lean. The owner owns the team and holds all rights. Admins manage members and settings without gaining control over the team as a whole. Members work along without touching administration. This gradation ensures not every hand is on every switch.

In the dashboard you see your team at a glance: who is in, what role each person holds, how large the team currently is. You change roles in the member manager, remove someone with a clear action, and maintain the team's core details in the settings.

The Team Workspace is a Pro tool and secured server-side. Every management action checks whether you are even allowed to perform it, so a member cannot accidentally become an admin or promote themselves. Permissions here are not decoration but enforced on the server.

The whole thing is meant as a foundation: first the team stands, then shared work follows in the other Pro tools. Anyone running a small company, a law firm, an association or a project team gets member management here without opening a separate tool for it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Set up the team

As the owner, invite the first members by email and set their starting role.

  2. 2

    Assign roles

Decide who becomes an admin and who stays a member, so responsibility is clearly shared.

  3. 3

    Keep the team in view

Use the dashboard to keep an eye on members, roles and team size at any time.

  4. 4

    Maintain changes

Adjust roles or remove members as the team changes.

Who needs this

→Small companies assigning their staff to a shared workspace.

→Associations separating board and members with clear rights.
→Project teams that need to add or remove someone quickly.
→Anyone needing central member management instead of scattered invitations.

Frequently asked questions

How do I invite someone to the team?

You enter the person's email address and choose their starting role. The invitation grants them access to the shared workspace without you having to pass on any credentials.

What roles are there?

There are owner, admin and member. The owner owns the team and holds all rights, admins manage members and settings, members work along without touching administration.

Can a member make themselves an admin?

No. Every role change is checked server-side. Only owners and admins with the right permissions can assign roles, so nobody can promote themselves.

What happens when I remove a member?

The person loses access to the shared workspace. Removal is possible in the member manager with a clear action, provided your role allows it.

Who is the Team Workspace for?

For anyone working with the same tools as a group - small companies, law firms, associations or project teams. It forms the basis on which shared work in the other Pro tools builds.
