What HR Management does

HR is the part of a company where the most paper, spreadsheets and gut feeling come together - and at the same time where German labour law has the most merciless say. Leave entitlements under the Federal Leave Act, maximum working hours and rest periods under the Working Hours Act, maternity protection, public holidays that differ from state to state: all of it has to be right, and all of it costs nerves when you tackle it with tables. HR Management brings it into one coherent suite.

The heart of it is the digital personnel file with encrypted master data. Instead of binders in the cabinet and scattered files, you have every person with their data in one place, cleanly structured and protected. From there all other areas draw on the same basis, so a change does not have to be maintained in five places.

The leave planner calculates under the Federal Leave Act: entitlement, pro-rata claims for mid-year joiners and leavers, remaining leave and its expiry. Time tracking follows the Working Hours Act and checks break and rest periods too, so statutory limits do not slip past you. Shift planning helps with staffing, and the built-in public holidays per state plus school holidays keep planning and reality aligned.

An important point on scope: HR Management is a tool for HR work, not legal or tax advice. It calculates statutory claims according to the relevant rules, but in a dispute it does not replace a legal review, and the actual payroll with social-security filings stays with the tax adviser. It takes the grind off your hands and keeps the rules, while responsibility for the individual case stays with you.

Does the tool calculate leave entitlement correctly?
