The third draft of a contract looks like the second, and the second like the first. That is exactly how changes creep in that later cost you money or nerves: a liability cap that suddenly vanished, a notice period that grew from three to six months, a place of jurisdiction that migrated to Munich overnight. The Contract Diff Viewer makes those differences visible instead of leaving you to guess paragraph by paragraph.

The comparison happens at word level. Both texts are compared token by token: added words appear green, removed words struck through in red, unchanged words stay neutral. So you see not just that a paragraph changed but exactly which word - the difference between "may terminate" and "must terminate" jumps out instantly.

The comparison thinks in clauses, not just lines. The tool detects headings and sections and groups the differences accordingly. Clause navigation jumps you straight to the next change instead of endless scrolling. A statistics panel shows at a glance how many clauses are affected and what percentage of the contract stayed unchanged.

Not every change matters equally. That is why risk highlighting flags passages containing sensitive terms like liability, termination, penalty, jurisdiction or payment terms. A filter can hide everything that stayed the same, or show only the critical spots - ideal when someone sends you a version they claim was only "minimally adjusted".

You choose between two views. Side-by-side shows the original and the modified version in two columns, good for an overview. Inline stacks both versions into one continuous text with colored markers, good for close reading. Switch views with a single click, no re-pasting.
