Sega Genesis — Retro Console

The Sega Mega Drive, marketed in North America as the Genesis, was the great challenger in the console war against Nintendo in the early nineties. With the slogan blast processing, an edgier, cooler image and a punchy FM sound chip, Sega appealed to a slightly older audience. The characteristic, slightly raw sound of the Mega Drive is unmistakable to this day. This retro console brings that 16-bit era into the browser via the open-source emulator EmulatorJS.

The emulator maps the controls onto the keyboard - directional pad on the arrow keys, the action buttons on surrounding letter keys. For the original feel you plug in a USB gamepad, which the emulator supports. A fullscreen mode stretches the picture across the whole screen.
