What Whiteboard does
Some thoughts refuse to be forced into a list. A process, a structure, the relationship between a few things - you want to draw that, not type it. The Whiteboard gives you an infinite surface for it, where you sketch, move, group and rebuild freely without the edge getting in your way.
Under the hood is Excalidraw, known for its hand-drawn, understated style. Rectangles, circles, arrows, lines, text and freehand strokes combine into whatever you need right now: a flowchart for a process, a mind map, a quick wireframe sketch or simply a brainstorm of boxes and connections.
Your work is saved automatically in your browser every 30 seconds. Close the window and come back later, and the sketch is still there. This happens locally through your browser's storage, nothing is uploaded to a server and nothing is tied to an account.
The Whiteboard automatically adopts your colour scheme. Work in dark mode and the canvas is dark too, in light mode accordingly light. The interface comes in German and English, matching your chosen language.
Because everything runs client-side, drawing is smooth and lag-free, even with larger sketches. No stutter from server requests, no delay when moving things. You think, you draw, and the tool keeps up. The Whiteboard is set up as a Plus feature.

Who needs this
Frequently asked questions
Is my drawing saved?
Yes, automatically every 30 seconds - but locally in your browser, not on a server. If you close the window and return later, the sketch is back, as long as you use the same browser.
Is my sketch uploaded?
No. The Whiteboard runs entirely in your browser. Your drawing is stored locally and not uploaded to a server or tied to an account.
What can I draw with it?
Flowcharts, mind maps, wireframes, sketches, brainstorms - anything made of shapes, lines, arrows, text and freehand strokes. The canvas is infinite, so you are not limited by a page size.
Does the whiteboard work in dark mode?
Yes. The Whiteboard automatically adopts your colour scheme. In dark mode the canvas is dark too, in light mode light. The interface comes in German and English.
Can I create several sketches?
The Whiteboard remembers your current sketch automatically. For separate sketches you export your drawing before starting a new one so the previous one is preserved.
