SVG Icon Re-Colourer

You have a nice icon set but the colours do not match your brand - and recolouring each one in an editor is a pain. The SVG re-colourer swaps fill and stroke colours in SVG icons, with live preview, ready-made palettes, batch processing and PNG export.

What SVG Icon Re-Colourer does

Icons almost never come in the colour you happen to need. Sometimes they are black, sometimes a blue that clashes with your corporate design, sometimes single-tone when you want two. Opening every icon in a vector editor and changing the colour values by hand costs nerves and time. The SVG re-colourer takes that off you: it finds the colours in the SVG and swaps them deliberately.

The core is recolouring fill and stroke. Fill is the fill colour of a shape, stroke the colour of the outline. The tool detects both, shows you the existing colours and lets you swap each for your desired colour - as a hex value or from a palette. So you turn a black icon into a brand-coloured one without redrawing the vector.

For fast results there are ready-made palettes. Whether monochrome, pastel, dark, light or oriented on common design systems, you pick a palette and see instantly how the icon looks with it. Ideal for bringing a whole set into a consistent look or creating variants for light and dark backgrounds.

The live preview shows every change immediately. You tweak the colours and see the result in real time, instead of blindly typing values and only noticing after export that it does not fit. That makes experimenting fast and pleasant - especially when you still have to find the perfect brand tone.

With batch processing you recolour a complete icon set in one pass. Instead of touching twenty icons individually, you apply your colour rules to all of them and get a consistent set back. If you like, you export the result not only as SVG but also as PNG, in case you need a pixel format.

Your icons are processed only for the recolouring and not stored permanently. SVG in, on-brand icon out - ready for website, app, presentation or your design system.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between fill and stroke?

Fill is the fill colour of a shape, stroke is the colour of the outline around it. An icon can have just a fill, just a stroke or both. The SVG re-colourer detects both and lets you swap each colour separately.

Can I use my exact brand colours?

Yes. Just enter the hex value of your corporate colour, for example from your style guide, and the icon takes exactly that tone. That brings a whole set precisely onto your branding.

Can I recolour a whole icon set at once?

Yes. Batch processing applies your colour rules or a palette to all uploaded icons. You get a consistent set in one pass instead of editing each icon individually.

Does the SVG stay editable?

Yes. Exporting as SVG keeps the graphic a vector and thus still scalable and editable - just in your new colours. If you need a pixel format, you additionally export as PNG.

Are my icons stored?

No. Your SVG files are processed only for the recolouring and not kept afterwards. There is no permanent storage on a server.
