What Bulk Resize does

Always the same game: Instagram wants 1080 by 1080, YouTube a thumbnail at 1280 by 720, the shop square product images, the email something light. Bringing each image to the right size individually is dull work. Bulk Resize handles that for up to fifty images at once.

You set the size in three ways: exact pixel dimensions for width and height, a maximum edge length the image adapts to, or a percentage to shrink or enlarge everything evenly. So the approach fits the goal, whether you need fixed formats or just a smaller image.

So nothing gets distorted or wrongly cropped, there are five fit modes. Inside places the whole image in the frame, cover fills the area and crops the excess, contain adds a letterbox border, fill stretches to the target size, and outside covers at least the target area. That keeps you in control of the aspect ratio.

Along the way you can switch the format - keep the original or convert to JPG, PNG or WebP - and set the quality. When saving, a prefix or suffix can be appended to the file names so you cleanly tell the resized versions from the originals.

If you are in a hurry, take one of the presets. Instagram square and story, Facebook cover, Twitter and LinkedIn post, YouTube thumbnail, e-commerce product, email attachment, print A4 at 300 dpi, Full HD or simply shrink to half - the typical target sizes are ready, complete with the matching fit mode.

Processing happens server-side with Sharp so even fifty images are scaled quickly and in good quality. In the end you download everything bundled as a ZIP instead of saving each file individually.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between inside and cover?

Inside places the whole image in the target frame without cutting anything - so a border may remain. Cover fills the entire target area and crops the excess. For fixed formats like Instagram squares, cover is usually the right choice.

Can I shrink by percentage?

Yes. Besides exact pixel dimensions and a maximum edge length there is a percentage mode with which you shrink or enlarge all images evenly, for example to fifty percent of the original size.

Are there ready sizes for social media?

Yes. There are presets for Instagram square and story, Facebook cover, Twitter and LinkedIn post and YouTube thumbnail, plus e-commerce product, email attachment, print A4 at 300 dpi and Full HD. Each preset sets dimensions and fit mode to match.

Can I adjust the file names?

Yes. You can append a prefix or suffix to the file names so the resized images are clearly distinguishable from the originals, for example with an addition like web or thumb.

How do I get the finished images?

All resized images are provided bundled as a ZIP file you download with one click. That saves you individually saving up to fifty files.
