Multi-Language Merge

As soon as a contract is concluded across language borders, the same question arises: how do you bring both language versions together so they unambiguously belong to each other? Two separate documents invite misunderstandings and accusations of manipulation. The bilingual contract solves this by joining both versions into a single, clearly structured PDF - traceable paragraph by paragraph.

You have three layouts to choose from. Side-by-side puts the two languages in two columns so each section is directly comparable left and right - the classic for contracts. Alternating sets the paragraphs one after another in turn, which reads better on narrow pages or with long paragraphs. Interleaved weaves the languages more tightly together when you want an especially dense juxtaposition.

The merge numbers the paragraphs in both languages so the mapping stays unambiguous even when a paragraph is longer in one language than the other. That is exactly what matters for bilingual contracts: that paragraph 3 on the left and paragraph 3 on the right really mean the same content.

An important, honest note: the tool merges two existing language versions, it does not translate. The substantive accuracy and legal equivalence of both versions are your responsibility. For contracts especially, a clause specifying which language version prevails in a dispute is advisable. For clean merging the tool is ideal; for the legal review of the translation the specialist remains responsible.
