Image Factory

Fifteen image tools, one workbench. The Image Factory compresses, converts, resizes, rasterises, recolours and cleans your images - all in the browser, nothing uploaded. One window, one rail, and you hop between tools like tabs.

What Image Factory does

Everyday image work is rarely a big project and usually a small, annoying in-between step. A photo is too large for the application portal, a screenshot reveals too much, a logo only exists as an SVG, the iPhone spits out HEIC that nobody can open. There is a dedicated tool for each of these - and the Image Factory packs them all into a single window so you never juggle five tabs.

The workbench is split into five sections. Optimise holds compressing, converting and resizing single images, plus the bulk variants for whole folders and the HEIC converter for iPhones. SVG & Colours bundles the SVG rasteriser, the SVG recolourer and the palette extractor. Privacy & Metadata keeps the EXIF viewer and the screenshot cleaner ready. Generate delivers favicon sets and ready-made social media formats. And under Special you find the application-photo crop and text recognition via OCR.

The best part of the bundle: it is purely additive. Each of the 15 tools stays reachable on its own, with its own address and its own search-result page. The Image Factory simply calls the same components under one roof. So you lose nothing by opening a single tool - but when you want to do several things to one image, you save yourself the endless back and forth.

Everything runs in your browser. With images that is not a technical footnote, it is the whole point: an application photo, an ID scan, a screenshot of your bank balance - these are things nobody wants to upload to a stranger's server. In the Image Factory your files never leave your device. No upload, no queue, no cloud that might keep your photos. It is fast, often works offline, and is as data-frugal as image editing should be.

The workbench remembers which tool you had open last and reopens it straight away next time. Every view loads only when you need it and runs inside its own error boundary - if one tool trips up, the rest of the factory stays calm. You switch away and back, and it reloads fresh.

The Image Factory is built for everyone who handles images regularly without being a designer: applicants who need a fitting photo, freelancers feeding their website favicons and social graphics, parents shrinking photos for the authorities, and anyone who wants to strip metadata or an account number from a screenshot before sharing it. A toolbox rather than a Swiss army knife that does everything halfway.

Features

15 image tools under one roof

Compress, convert, resize, rasterise, recolour, clean and more - in one window instead of five open tabs.

Grouped into five sections

Optimise, SVG & Colours, Privacy & Metadata, Generate and Special. The rail organises the tools instead of just listing them.

All in the browser, nothing uploaded

Your images never leave your device. No cloud, no upload, no server keeping your application photo or ID scan.

Batch processing included

Compress a whole folder in one go or bring it all to the same size, not image by image by hand.

HEIC rescue for iPhones

Turn iPhone HEIC files into plain JPG or PNG that every portal and colleague can open.

Metadata visible and gone

Show EXIF data like GPS location and camera model, black out sensitive parts of screenshots before you share.

Remembers your last tool

The factory reopens exactly where you left off. Every view loads only when you need it.

Its own error boundary per tool

If one tool trips, the rest of the factory keeps running. Switch away and back, and it reloads.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open the Image Factory

Launch the workbench. On the left you get the rail with the five sections and the overview as a start page.

  2. 2

    Pick a tool

Click a card in the overview or a tool directly in the rail. It loads straight away in the right pane.

  3. 3

Drop in an image and work on it

Drag your image into the tool or select it. The processing happens in the browser while you watch.

  4. 4

    Save the result

Download the finished image or file it in the Aktenschrank. Then reach for the next tool in the rail.

Who needs this

→Applicants who need to shrink, crop and reformat a photo.
→Freelancers stocking their website with favicons and social media graphics.
→Anyone stripping metadata or account details from a screenshot before sharing.
→iPhone users turning HEIC photos into a format every authority and portal opens.
→Parents and applicants squeezing photos under the size limit of government portals.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is the Image Factory?

A workbench that bundles 15 separate image tools into one window - from compressing through the HEIC converter to text recognition. Instead of keeping five tabs open, you switch between tools in the rail.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every tool in the Image Factory works in your browser. Your images never leave your device, there is no upload and no cloud keeping your files. That matters especially for application photos, ID scans and screenshots.

Can I use the tools individually too?

Yes. Each of the 15 tools stays reachable on its own, with its own page and search result. The Image Factory is additive and simply calls the same tools bundled together. You lose nothing by opening them individually.

Which tools are included?

Image compress, convert and resize, bulk compress and bulk resize, HEIC converter, SVG rasteriser and SVG recolourer, palette extractor, EXIF viewer, screenshot cleaner, favicon generator, social media presets, application-photo crop and image text via OCR.

Does the Image Factory remember my choice?

Yes, the last tool you opened is remembered locally in your browser and reopened next time. Only the tool name is stored, never any images.

Do I need a subscription for this?

The Image Factory as a bundled workbench is a Plus feature. Many of the individual image tools can also be used directly without Plus - the factory just brings them conveniently under one roof.
