Every layout needs text before the real text exists. Lorem Ipsum has been the standard for that since the 16th century because meaningless text pulls the eye toward the design instead of snagging it on content. This generator gives you exactly that - but with a lot more character than the usual Latin salad.

Five styles are on offer. Classic is the original Lorem Ipsum. Hipster sprinkles in avocado-toast vocabulary. Bureaucratese is peak German officialese, perfect when your mockup is destined for a form or an administrative tool anyway. Kafka sounds existential and unsettling, and Beer and Bratwurst is a love letter to German cosiness. So the placeholder matches the tone of the project.

You set the amount precisely. Generate by paragraphs to fill body copy, by sentences for a short teaser, by words for a heading, or by characters when a field has a hard length limit. One option makes the text start with the familiar "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet", another gives you clean sentence casing.

For further use there are two copy formats. As plain text the placeholder drops straight into your editor. As HTML you get p tags around every paragraph, so you can paste the block into a template without any cleanup. Alternatively, download the whole thing as a txt file.

A live preview shows the text at selectable font sizes so you can see how it reads in a layout, and a stat line counts words, characters, sentences and paragraphs. Ready-made presets for typical amounts save you the setup for standard cases.
