When you start, your browser asks what you want to capture: the whole screen, a specific application window, or just a single tab. You decide what gets shared - nothing runs secretly in the background. During recording you see a live preview and a running timer, so you always know where you stand. Pause and resume are one click away.

People who explain usually want to talk too. That is why you can switch on your microphone. The sound from the screen and your voice are mixed together cleanly, so viewers hear both the system audio and your explanation. Leave the microphone box unchecked and you get a silent or system-audio-only recording - exactly as you need it.

The entire recording is created in your browser using built-in web standards. There is no upload, no server that gets to see your video, no cloud storing your screen contents. That matters especially when you show sensitive material - internal tools, customer data, an official form with personal details. What happens on your screen stays between you and your hard drive.

As soon as you stop, the video is assembled as a WebM file and you can watch it right in the built-in player. Happy with it? Download it. Not happy? Start a new recording with one click. The browser native stop button is recognised too: end the sharing from the browser bar and the recording is finished cleanly.
