Bureaucrat Bingo

Everyone knows the trip to the government office: pulling the queue ticket, the rows of plastic chairs, the neon lighting and the same old sentences drifting out of every clerk office. "You are in the wrong place here." "We cannot process it like this." "Do you have an appointment?" Bureaucrat Bingo takes exactly this experience and turns it into a 5x5 bingo you play on your phone while you wait.

The board fills from a database of real bureaucratic phrases. The centre is a free space, marked automatically. Every time you actually hear or read one of the phrases, you tap the cell - it gets stamped, complete with a little stamp sound if you turn audio on. As soon as a row, column or diagonal is full, confetti rains down and a tongue-in-cheek winning line appears.

Nine themes provide variety and match the office you are in: Mixed, Tax Office, Citizens Office, Immigration, Job Center, Registry Office, Vehicle Registration, Building Authority and Court. Each theme draws its phrases from the matching bureaucratic universe, so the cells really fit your appointment - at the tax office you hear different sentences than at vehicle registration.

Your statistics are stored locally in your browser: rounds played, bingos achieved, current and best streak, plus your favourite winning direction (row, column or diagonal). None of it leaves your device. A new board is always just one click away, and every bingo you win can be shared as text to celebrate your bureaucratic frustration with others.

The game is built to be accessible. Every cell is reachable by keyboard, screen readers get the marks and wins announced, and anyone with reduced-motion enabled plays without the confetti animation. Sound is off by default - you decide whether a stamp sound is appropriate in the waiting room.
