The principle is deliberately simple. You create a term, write the definition and assign it to a category. Done. Through the list you find everything again, and because the entries are categorized, even a large glossary stays clear instead of turning into an unsorted scrap-note mess.

Why would I need my own glossary?
For anything where the same technical terms keep appearing - officialese, contract language, a project vocabulary or your industry's abbreviations. Instead of looking up each term afresh, you define it once and have it permanently ordered to hand.
How do I get my glossary out of the tool?
Print it as an A-Z list or save it as a PDF, download it as a table for Excel (umlauts and columns stay intact) or save it as plain text. You can read the table back in later.
Can I import an existing list?
Yes. Paste rows from a table, for example copied from Excel, or load a table you saved here. With larger collections this saves a lot of time.
Which categories are there?
Legal, tax, business, government, insurance, technology and medicine, plus a free custom category. This lets almost any technical vocabulary be sensibly sorted and searched separately.
Where are my terms kept, and who sees them?
With your Plus account your glossary is kept in your account on our server, so it is still there after logging out and on other devices. Other users cannot see it. You only pass it on when you print or download it yourself.
