Anyone dealing a lot with officialese, contracts or technical texts inevitably collects terms they keep having re-explained. The glossary builder ends the endless looking-up: you build your own glossary in which each term is defined cleanly once and is immediately to hand next time.
The principle is deliberately simple. You create a term, write the definition and assign it to a category. Done. Through the list you find everything again, and because the entries are categorized, even a large glossary stays clear instead of turning into an unsorted scrap-note mess.
The categories cover the typical building sites: legal, tax, business, government, insurance, technology and medicine, plus a free category for anything you need yourself. So you can separate your tax vocabulary from your legal terms and browse a single area deliberately instead of scrolling through everything.
Ready-made templates give you a starting point instead of staring at an empty glossary. Rather than typing in every term by hand, you can draw on prepared collections and adapt them to your needs - especially with bureaucratic German this saves a lot of typing.

Why would I need my own glossary?
For anything where the same technical terms keep appearing - officialese, contract language, a project vocabulary or your industry's abbreviations. Instead of looking up each term afresh, you define it once and have it permanently ordered to hand.
How do I get my glossary out of the tool?
Print it as an A-Z list or save it as a PDF, download it as a table for Excel (umlauts and columns stay intact) or save it as plain text. You can read the table back in later.
Can I import an existing list?
Yes. Paste rows from a table, for example copied from Excel, or load a table you saved here. With larger collections this saves a lot of time.
Which categories are there?
Legal, tax, business, government, insurance, technology and medicine, plus a free custom category. This lets almost any technical vocabulary be sensibly sorted and searched separately.
Where are my terms kept, and who sees them?
With your Plus account your glossary is kept in your account on our server, so it is still there after logging out and on other devices. Other users cannot see it. You only pass it on when you print or download it yourself.
