Resigning from your job is one of those moments where a small formal mistake gets expensive. A resignation by email or WhatsApp is void because the law requires written form with a handwritten signature under Section 623 BGB. Miscalculate the notice period and you may stay bound a month longer than intended. The employment resignation tool handles both: correct form and correct deadline.

To be honest: for a planned resignation to the next possible date the tool is exactly right. For an extraordinary termination, an offered mutual agreement with severance, or where a dispute with the employer looms, you should also seek employment-law advice - a mutual termination agreement can, for example, trigger a blocking period on unemployment benefit.
